JetBlue and its great fares

Yesterday I shared some special one-way airfares from JetBlue, today I thought I'd give a bit of history of that discount airline. (JetBlue is a non-union airline - that saves them money right there! )

The company is headquartered in the Forest Hills neighborhood of the New York City borough of Queens. Its home airport is John F. Kennedy International Airport, which is also located in Queens.

JetBlue debuted in 2001, with a location at Long Beach Airport in Long Beach, California. By 2004 they had branched out to Boston's Logan International Airport.

Today, JetBlue has focus city operations at Fort Lauderdale, Washington-Dulles and Orlando International Airport. The airline mainly serves destinations in the United States, but also offers flights to the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Colombia, Costa Rica, Jamaica and Mexico.

They have a total of 59 destinations in 12 countries.

JetBlue flies the Airbus A320 and the Embraer-E-190.
